John Alexander

After graduating from Northwestern in 1978 I enrolled in DePaul's Graduate School of Business and secured a Masters in Accounting. After working as an Accountant for 3 LONG Years I learned that this was NOT my Lifetime calling. One Fantastic result of attending DePaul ,I met my Wife in my first class and we started dating in April/1979, we were married in May/1981. We just celebrated our 43rd Anniversary and being a Snowbird is Fabulous. I worked in the Logistics Industry until 2014 and retired. For the last 9 years I worked Full Time as a Realtor and retired last year. My Wife and I were Blessed with 3 phenomenal children who graduated from University of Iowa(2) and Illinois(1). My oldest daughter is a doctor in Jacksonville, FL, My younger daughter is a nurse practioner in Houston, TX and my youngest, my son is a Biomedical Engineer who is a Medical Consultant residing in Austin, TX. All 3 are Married to Wonderful Spouses and my Wife and I are proud to be grandparents to 3 fabulous children. I am a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears ( Season Ticket Holder since 1978) and the Northwestern Wildcats. Our fall weekends are Football oriented. My Wife and I LOVE traveling and our goal is to visit every country in Europe.

At Northwestern I was an Economics major with a minor- History in the School of Education. I toured Evanston Township High School to see IF I wanted to do my Student Teaching. I was so disenchanted with Evanston Township that I decided to pursue Lane Tech. I had an interview with Mr. Silber, Lane's Principal and was accepted to the student teaching program. I taught 2 periods of Economics for Mr. Childs and 3 periods of American History for Mr. O'Malley. Thoroughly Enjoyed my College Senior Spring Quarter teaching at Lane Tech.
